Pokemon CB: Regionals is a three round chorus battle that focuses on adventures each team has experienced in their respective regions. Teams are randomly assigned to 9 different regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar and Paldea). Please check the other pages for more info, schedules, and group requirements!

    CB rules and info

    - Leader must provide a link to each member's social media.
    - Each team will be randomly assigned a region after your team is processed. Leaders, please check the public registry or the official account for your assigned region.
    - There is no definite theme you need to follow as long as you reference your assigned region. The storyline must still be in the Pokémon universe.
    - Plagiarism will result in devastating deduction of points or elimination. Please ask permission or credit properly when using references.
    - Please be polite to both judges and trainers.
    - This CB has no prizes.
    - Please don't publicly or privately send unsolicited critiques to teams. Unless the specific team grants you permission to critique their work, this job goes to the judges.
    - Please don't DM judges or hosts. DM the official Twitter account for any inquiries.

    Group Requirements

    - A group can consist of a minimum of 3 trainers and a maximum of 10 trainers.
    - A group must consist of a minimum of 3 vocalists and a maximum 6 vocalists
    - Trainers must have an active social media account (ie. Instagram, twitter, youtube, etc.)
    - A trainer can only be part of one team during a specific round.
    - Teams can change their roster at no cost at any time during the CB. Please notify the staff team of any changes.
    - Trainers from an eliminated team is allowed to join a current participating team in a certain round.
    - Trainers can be anonymous, however, the trainers identities must be disclosed to the PCB:R staff.
    - Each team must have a lead and a co-lead trainer and will be the staff's point of contact.

    Video Requirements

    - Videos must be 2:30 mins minimum and has no time limit on the maximum.
    - Song can be any genre or language and is not limited to one.
    - Half of the team that submitted will move on to the next round.
    - Each trainer must be credited unless anon.
    - Using official art for pokemon and trainers is considered plagiarism. Using assets like backgrounds and items are allowed as long as you put it in the external assets doc. Fakemons are allowed as long as it's credited properly.
    - Original artists must be credited and and external assets doc must be in the description.
    - Script, A capella, art, WAV, alt video links may or may not be placed in the video description. However, they must be submitted on the entry submission form for judging.
    - Title format is : 【 #PCB2R1 】 song name 【Team Name】

    Grace Period

    - Grace period will start after the round deadline and go on for 48 hours.
    - For rendering issues, a screenshot must be provided before the grace period starts to submit your entry in grace without deduction .
    - Each hour in the grace period is a 0.5 deduction unless the team submitted a proof of render screenshot.
    - The team won't receive more deductions once the screenshot is submitted (ex. team sent a screenshot 4 hours into grace, team will receive 2 points of deduction even if team submitted 10 hours later).
    - Any team who submitted after the grace period is automatically eliminated.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Are Pokémon type trainers required like the previous PokéTaite CB?
    - Nope! You can do whatever you want for each round as long as it revolves around the Pokémon universe and has your region assigned.
    Does the story need to have an element of the region we're assigned?
    - Yes! However, it's not limited to your lore. Got assigned to be in Sinnoh while being a trainer from Kanto? You can have a Kanto-centered lore AND sing Sinnoh songs!
    Are we able to choose our specific region?
    - No. Regions are distributed as you register and are random.
